Entrée to Black Paris' Dr. Monique Y. Wells Renews Collaboration with The Travel Institute –

Accepts Invitation to Join the TTI Professional Educators Program

PARIS - March 5, 2023 - PRLog -- Entrée to Black Paris co-founder Dr. Monique Y. Wells has accepted an invitation to join the Professional Educators Program (PEP) at The Travel Institute.

Through this program, Dr. Wells will engage with travel professionals who seek to obtain or maintain travel agent certifications to teach them about the depth and breadth of African diaspora history, culture, and contemporary life in Paris.  She will also inform them about how they can offer their clients travel experiences that include or focus on these elements when they travel to the City of Light.

The Travel Institute (TTI) is the global leader in travel industry education and certification.  As an independent nonprofit institution, it collaborates with industry leaders to create and deliver relevant, meaningful, and rigorous coursework, and travel professional education.  It created PEP in 2011 to bring together top trainers, educators, and speakers inside and outside the travel industry.

PEP members share their knowledge through TTI-hosted webinars and blog posts, as well as through e-books and white papers.  Dr. Wells has written the Entrée to Black Paris travel blog since 2010 and been a guest on numerous webinars over the years to discuss topics relevant to Black Paris.  She published the bestselling e-book entitled Black Paris Profiles in 2012.  And she partnered with TTI for several years to offer the first and only continuing education course on African-diaspora Paris for travel professionals.

In addition to being a co-owner of Entrée to Black Paris, Dr. Wells is also the founder and CEO of a U.S. nonprofit organization, the Wells International Foundation (WIF).  Entrée to Black Paris collaborates with the foundation on the Entrée to Black Paris Cultural Awareness Program in support of WIF's purpose, which is to cultivate global citizenship through education and culture.

Dr. Wells said the following about this partnership:

"Educating travel professionals about the richness of the Black Paris experience fully aligns with WIF's mission, vision, and purpose and the work we do with Entrée to Black Paris.  Delivering information and training through PEP will expand the reach of the Entrée to Black Paris Cultural Awareness Program and magnify its proven positive impact, particularly for study abroad programs."

Entrée to Black Paris is the leading specialist in Paris as a black heritage destination.  It currently offers fifteen (15) distinct walking tours on African diaspora Paris as well as insider access to the Académie de l'Art Culinaire du Monde Créole, a French nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Afro-Créole cuisine across the globe.
