Follow on Google News | Fort Myers Brewing to host St. Patrick's Day festivities March 17By: Fort Myers Brewing Company Fort Myers Brewing is releasing specialty brews to celebrate the occasion, including an Irish Red Ale, Turn the Lights Stout and a festive green beer slushie. The Irish Red Ale is a balanced, easy-drinking beer with a moderate malt character that is full of caramel and toasted notes. The deep reddish-copper color comes from both crystal malt and a small dose of highly kilned grain. Turn the Lights Stout is a dry Irish stout, a dark beer with a dry-roasted character thanks to the use of coffee-like roasted barley and a moderate degree of roasted malt aromas. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy dishes from three local food trucks including Wicked Streatery starting at 2 p.m. and joined by Vesuvius Wood Fired Pizza and Smokin' Crow's BBQ starting at 4 p.m. The event will include festive live performances by Irish Cream at 4 p.m., followed by Celtic Stew at 8 p.m. The St. Patrick's Day festivities will be held at Fort Myers Brewing Company, 12811 Commerce Lakes Drive, Suite 28, in Fort Myers.
