INTRODUCTION

Ready-to-load liposomes carrying positive charges are available to make DNA or RNA nanoparticles. The DPPC Liposome for DNA and RNA Nanoparticles (Catalog number: DCDA20) has the lipid composition of DPPC:Cholesterol:Dodecylamine = 6.6:3.4:1. The empty liposome shows a mean size of 120 nm. Upon loading DNA or RNA at a mass ratio of lipid / RNA (or DNA) = 33, the liposome size is almost doubled. Loading of DNA or RNA is performed by a simple incubation step. The DNA or RNAloaded liposomes are DNA or RNA nanoparticles that may be used for various applications in bioscience
research and drug discovery projects.

The DPPC Liposome for DNA and RNA Nanoparticles contains 2 ml of 10 mg/ml total lipids (DPPC:Cholesterol:Dodecylamine = 6.6:3.4:1) in water. The liposome may be diluted with water. It should be stored at 2C to 8C. Please do not freeze liposomes.
