David Taylor is Amy's oldest brother, and he's having issues dealing with a new student who's different from David's other classmates.

The new student, eighth-grader Kellen Stevens, is one of the few African Americans at Longwood Academy, and he wears his hair in dreadlocks. To top it off, Kellen is just as smart as David, and plays soccer just as well as David, if not better.

David's Decision boils down to this: either squelch his ego, or risk being the reason their soccer team loses its first match.

About the Author: This is Vicki D. King's seventh book and the third in her Amy series. "I live within 5 to 10 minutes from where I grew up. The amazing thing is that after graduating high school, I joined the U.S. Marines and lived in California and Chicago before returning to my hometown, meeting a high school classmate, settling down, and raising a family."
