DULUTH, Ga. - March 21, 2023 - PRLog -- As a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of families experiencing homelessness by providing Help, Hope, Housing, and Healing, Rainbow Village relies on grants, donations, and fundraising to fund its programs. One of its largest fundraisers of the year is just around the bend, and planning is in full swing for the 2023 Rainbow Village Second Chance Golf Classic. Set to take place on April 17 at TPC Sugarloaf, the event has become a favorite among the organization's corporate partners and donors who love to golf. With less than a month to go before the shotgun start, Rainbow Village is issuing a last call to round out its roster of sponsors. Sponsorships offer several benefits, with the top levels providing perks like the option to set up a marketing tent on the course and one or more foursomes so sponsors can take an active role in the tournament.

"In golf lingo, a second chance is called a 'mulligan,'" said Rainbow Village CEO Melanie Conner. "At Rainbow Village, we're big believers in second chances. Of the estimated 97,000 Gwinnett County residents who live below the poverty line – 10,000 are believed to be homeless. And that's Gwinnett County alone. So the need is very real, and events like this one are extremely impactful for not only shining a much-needed light on the issue but also for coming together to raise funds so we can do something about it. Beyond our work to provide a hand-up to families experiencing homelessness from our campus in Duluth, we seek to expand our reach with a homelessness prevention program to begin chipping away at those statistics. Every number represents a person – nearly 2000 of whom are children. Last year's event raised a record-breaking $153,000. This year, we're hoping to beat that."

Some of the organizations that have already stepped up in support of the event include the Scott and Holly Phelan Family Foundation; Teamspring, Inc.; ER Snell, Abernathy & Timberlake; MotorCars of Atlanta; Axis; Subaru of Gwinnett; Piedmont Bank; Fortune-Johnson; Northeast Georgia Health System; and Suzanna's Kitchen. Some of the remaining sponsorship levels include Air Cannon, 19th Hole Reception, Golf Cart, Contest, Driving Range, and Hole Sponsors. Anyone can support Rainbow Village's efforts, regardless of whether they're on the links on April 17 or not. To make a secure one-time online donation, sign on as a monthly donor, or register as a volunteer, please visit www.RainbowVillage.org.
