Snell & Wilmer's Casey Stiteler Honored by Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation

RENO, Nev. - March 29, 2023 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Reno associate Casey Stiteler (https://www.swlaw.com/people/casey-j-stiteler) was recently honored by the Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation with the naming of "Casey's Closet."

The Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation (NNCCF) has provided help, hope, and courage to local families affected by childhood cancer since 2000. NNCCF is a nonprofit located in Reno, Nevada, providing services to all of northern Nevada including Carson City, Winnemucca, Elko, Incline Village, Tonopah, etc. It is the only nonprofit in the region solely dedicated to childhood cancer.

In 2001 at 11 years old, Stiteler was diagnosed with a brain tumor. During this time, his family was supported by the NNCCF. Two years later, as a school project, Stiteler started a nonprofit called "Casey's Project" that provided toys, books, art supplies, video games, and related items to pediatric wards throughout Nevada. In 2017, operations for "Casey's Project" wrapped, and the remaining funds were donated to the NNCCF. That same year, Stiteler joined the Board of Directors where he currently holds the role of President. Additionally, Stiteler is the first childhood cancer survivor to serve on the Board of Directors and as Board of Directors President.

The NNCCF still has a large supply of toys, blankets, and stuffed animals that patients and their siblings can pick from when they visit the office. Earlier this month, Stiteler was honored by having this part of the NNCCF operation named "Casey's Closet" in recognition of his history with the foundation and "Casey's Project."

Stiteler is an associate in the firm's real estate practice group. His practice is focused on real estate transactions and land use matters regarding residential, commercial and multi-family property development.  Additionally, Stiteler provides counsel on real estate and commercial contracts, purchase agreements and other related matters. He received his J.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Reno.
