Franchise Times Recognizes Snell & Wilmer Partner Elizabeth M. Weldon as a 2023 Legal Eagle

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - April 3, 2023 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Partner Elizabeth M. Weldon has been named as a 2023 Legal Eagle by Franchise Times for the thirteenth consecutive year. In 2020, she joined the Legal Eagle Hall of Fame, a designation reserved for the top franchise attorneys in the industry.

According to the publication, Franchise TimesĀ® Legal Eagles is an annual list featuring the industry's top lawyers, the rainmakers, the go-to attorneys, adversaries, and clients alike. It includes dedicated professionals, available whenever their clients need them, steeped in knowledge about all things franchising. The list is built with nominations and recommendations from clients, peers, and other legal professionals.

Weldon is a Certified Specialist in Franchise and Distribution Law, The State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. She concentrates her practice on business litigation and franchise litigation, at trial, judicial reference, and arbitration. Weldon represents both large and small businesses in commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, tort, unfair competition, class action, commercial real estate, intellectual property disputes, such as patent, trademark, and trade dress claims, as well as other complex matters. Additionally, she represents franchisors in matters including breach of contract, trademark and trade name infringement, business competition torts, vicarious liability and joint employer issues, and franchise law claims. Weldon received her J.D. from William & Mary School of Law and her B.A. from University of Arizona.

Weldon is very active in her community and nationally in the American Bar Association's Forum on Franchising. In December of 2022, she was announced as chair-elect of the Forum on Franchising and will serve a two-year term as chair commencing August 2023. She was most recently the finance officer of the governing committee of the Forum on Franchising and served as the co-chair of the 2020 Annual Meeting of the Forum on Franchising. Weldon was inducted into the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation in 2020, and the Litigation Counsel of America in 2017.
