Smokeless Cigarette a FAVOR to NON-SMOKERS

AUSTIN, Texas - April 3, 2023 - PRLog -- Advanced Tobacco Products Inc. has launched a new product called Favor, a smokeless cigarette that provides an alternative to smokers where smoking is unacceptable or prohibited. The company hopes that this product will catch fire in California and several Southwestern states where smoking in public places is prohibited.

Favor looks and tastes like a cigarette, but does not contain tobacco and cannot be lit. Instead, it features a nicotine-laced plug at the end, which vaporizes the nicotine as it is inhaled through the tube. As a result, a person "smoking" a Favor cigarette does not inhale tars or carbon monoxide and other gasses contained in tobacco smoke.

Each Favor contains about half the nicotine of a conventional cigarette and comes in regular, menthol, and light flavors. A pack of six Favors cost about the same as a pack of 20 tobacco-filled cigarettes and lasts about as long.

Dr. Norman Jacobson, the company's CEO, said that Favor is not an answer for people who want to quit smoking but is an alternative to smokers only. He also mentioned that there are no studies indicating any long-term health damages from nicotine alone.

"We are positioning Favor as an alternative to smokers, and only to smokers, to use where smoking is unacceptable or prohibited," Jacobson said.

Advanced Tobacco Products Inc. is based out of San Antonio and has licensed certain dry powder nicotine inhaler technology to pharmaceutical companies that manufacture the Nicotrol/Nicorette inhaler, chewing gum, patch, and nasal spray. The technology forms the basis for nicotine replacement therapy.

Although the company is careful not to make any health claims about its smokeless cigarette, Jacobson said that as a physician, he would promptly say it is better not to smoke anything. However, for those people who smoke and have the need to smoke, Favor provides the nicotine pleasure of a cigarette without the harmful side effects of tobacco smoke.
