Black Designer's Fairway Golf Culture Reimagines the Sport's GearJoi Stewart Reinterprets Golf Fashion with flavor that's 'Fore! The Culture'
By: Love Publicity The designer line was born when the founder's unique and colorful flavor was noticed as she was out on the greens. "I played competitive softball and we wore bright colors with dynamic designs on our uniforms. That expression gave me energy when I competed," said Joi Stewart, founder of Fairway Golf Culture. "I wanted to bring similar energy to my golf apparel and so I incorporated my personal style into custom-made golf shirts. Others noticed and asked where they could find golf clothes that resonated with them culturally as well. That's when I realized it was time for Fairway Golf Culture." Fairway Golf Culture's goal is to provide inclusivity in style and size offerings. Both men and women can find fun and unique patterns and designs, unique color options, and inclusive sizing ranging from medium to 5x. "Black people enjoy golf and also understand that business deals are cut out on the course, so we need to be in those spaces. That means there is a huge niche for diversity and inclusion in golf, especially through fashion," said Stewart. Fairway Golf Culture is reimagining the golf supplies industry, creating a space for people of color to make their mark. As Stewart says, she's doing it "Fore! The Culture, on the course."
