SMARC FINLAY is the new module in SECO's catalogue

April 4, 2023 - PRLog -- A new SMARC® module based on the Intel® Atom® x7000E, Intel® Core™ i3, and Intel® N series processors has joined SECO's product portfolio.

At the beginning of January, SECO launched FINLAY, a new computer-on-module (COM) compatible with the SMARC® 2.1 standard, together with the release of Intel's new state-of-the-art processors, to which the company had preview access to accelerate the development of its solution.

The Intel® Atom® x7000E Series and Intel® Core™ i3 processors open new avenues for x86 processors in the 6W to 15W power range, enabling low-power AI acceleration and allowing for multimedia IoT applications even where there are space constraints. Designed to optimise performance in limited spaces, SECO's SMARC® FINLAY module achieves exceptional levels of CPU, graphics performance and power consumption in a small footprint, as required, for example, in digital signage, interactive media stations with integrated AI systems, vending machines, diagnostic imaging, remote assistance equipment, industrial control and automation systems, robotics.

With two to eight-core CPUs and TDP (Thermal Design Power) options ranging from 6W to 15W, FINLAY supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5-4800 soldered-down memory, equipped with IBECC (In-Band Error Correction Code) technology for increased reliability without additional chips. It can simultaneously manage up to 3x 4K displays via 2x DP++ interfaces and an eDP or LVDS interface, and up to two simultaneous streams via MIPI CSI-2 interfaces. FINLAY (https://edge.seco.com/usa/finlay.html) comes with 2x 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports with integrated Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) and Time Coordinate Computing (TCC), 4x PCIe Gen3 slots, 2x USB 3.2 Gen2, 6x USB 2.0 host ports, 1x SATA Gen 3.2 port and HD audio. Supported operating systems include Microsoft Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and Linux LTS Kernel.
