Blue Heart Records Signs Arlen Roth

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - April 4, 2023 - PRLog -- Blue Heart Records is proud to announce the signing of guitarist and author Arlen Roth. His extensive catalog of albums and instructional books is second only to the list of artists with whom he has recorded and toured; including Bob Dylan, Paul Butterfield, Art Garfunkel (solo), Paul Simon (solo), John Prine, Don McLean, Janis Ian, Dusty Springfield, Phoebe Snow, Pete Seeger, the Bee Gees, Simon & Garfunkel, James Taylor and more. Hot Licks, Roth's collection of 180 instructional videos featuring 150 artists, was first recorded while teaching Ralph Macchio the guitar parts for the movie Crossroads, and ultimately pioneered video music and guitar instruction.  Roth's book, Hot Guitar, is a compilation of 10 years of his #1 "Hot Guitar" column for Guitar Player magazine. From 2007 to 2012, he was also the creator of over 1000 online lessons and blogs for Gibson Guitars. Arlen has been named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Guitarists of All Time (Vintage Guitar magazine) and one of the Top 50 Acoustic Guitarists of All Time (Gibson.com).

A collaboration nearly 40 years in the making, Super Soul Session! is the dynamic pairing of Bronx, New York natives Arlen Roth, "Master of the Telecaster," and Jerry Jemmott, "The Groovemaster!" covering thirteen nostalgic tracks dedicated to the musical icons who made them. Co-produced by Arlen and Alex Salzman, session artists include Bruce Katz (organ, piano), Tom Gage (rhythm guitar) and Chris Parker (drums), The Uptown Horns, and with special vocal appearances from Joe Louis Walker and Mukamuri, from Africa.
