Open Studios June 3, 2023 The Mill at Shady Lea 10am-4pm

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. - April 6, 2023 - PRLog -- The historic Shady Lea Mill will once again open its doors for the annual Spring Open Studios Tour. Situated on the scenic Mattatuxet River in North Kingstown, we house over 40 artists and artisans working in various mediums.  Some of Rhode Island's most gifted artists open their doors to the public and offer a wide array of handmade local gifts.  Featured will be one of a kind pottery, sculpture, rug hooking, painting, mixed media collage, glasswork, photography, jewelry design, sewing, quilting, and woodworking.

Classes are being offered in rug hooking, painting, pottery, sewing and quilting. Wander thru the historic hallways of the mill and enjoy meeting the artists and watching some demonstrate their craft.

As always, The Shady Lea Mill continues to be home to artistic magic that permeates through every studio.  While admission is free, the artist are asking guests to consider donating personal product items that are not covered by food stamps, such as toothpaste, soap and feminine products.
