1st Annual Santa Ana Chamber Mayor's Prayer Breakfast: A Gathering of Faith and Inspiration

Santa Ana, CA - The Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 1st Annual Santa Ana Chamber Mayor's Prayer Breakfast, taking place on May 9, 2023, at Templo Calvario Church in Santa Ana.

This special interfaith event returns after more than 30 years and will be hosted by Santa Ana Mayor Valerie Amezcua and David Elliott, President and CEO of the Santa Ana Chamber. Welcome all faiths to come together in unity and prayer for the community. The event will feature an inspirational address from Ivan Pitts, Senior Pastor of Second Baptist Church.

Pastor Ivan Pitts has a powerful story of overcoming adversity and demonstrating forgiveness. Early in 2022, Pastor Pitts was brutally attacked in his own driveway, by a stranger suffering from a psychotic break. Despite sustaining serious injuries, Pastor Pitts fought off his attacker and managed to run for help. Now fully recovered, Pastor Pitts has chosen to forgive his assailant and use his experience to raise awareness about mental illness and the importance of unity and compassion in society. His remarkable journey of resilience and forgiveness serves as a testament to the power of faith and love, making him the perfect speaker for this interfaith gathering.

David Elliott, President and CEO of the Santa Ana Chamber, shared his excitement for the event: "We are thrilled to bring back this cherished tradition to the Santa Ana community after more than 30 years. The Mayor's Prayer Breakfast is a unique opportunity for people of all faiths to come together, celebrate our shared values, and pray for the well-being and prosperity of our beloved city.
