By: Implants4All "Your team does not want to do a poor job" Jeremey says during this episode, "it's our responsibility to sit down with the employee and say 'hey, I'm with you, I support you, and let's make this happen". While these conversations are difficult, they are necessary to correct the issue and allow for better productivity and a better work environment overall. Dr. Planes and Jeremey suggest a couple of solutions in order to make these difficult conversations easier to have. First, leaders of organizations should build an affinity with their employees through a shared victory. This can help bring down tensions and allow for the employee to take the leader of the organization's constructive criticism easier. Another suggestion is the leader taking a walk outside of the office. Stepping away from a stressful environment gives the leader of an organization time to reassess the situation and come up with a better approach to handle it. Ultimately, when leaders give themselves some time to reassess their thoughts, it makes those difficult conversations easier to have. By taking the time to process these difficult conversations before they happen, the leader will likely be able to bring more empathy to the conversation. Finally, when the leader of an organization works with the employee to understand where the misunderstanding in the communication of their tasks occurred, it can help them avoid it from happening again in the future.
