Camp Unleashes Creativity in Young Girls, While Building Skills for Self-Care and Entrepreneurship

AUSTELL, Ga. - April 26, 2023 - PRLog -- BAPArt LLC has launched Girl Creatives Unleashed, a pilot summer art camp providing girls aged 8-12 a unique opportunity to develop skills for creative expression, self-care, and entrepreneurship. The 1-week camp program offers young girls fun and unique opportunities to explore who they are and their strengths, discover new artistic interests, make new friends, create/market new products to meet a business need, and learn techniques for emotional regulation and stress management. The camp will be held June 19-23, 2023 at Studio 270 in the Threadmil Complex in Austell, GA from 9-1:30, M-F.

Today's youth are faced with a world that is difficult to navigate along with social media distractions that studies have shown have a negative impact on self-esteem and body image.  Youth transitioning from childhood to adolescence need outlets to express themselves, build self-confidence, and learn skills for self-care that can bolster health as they navigate their identity and begin to establish career pathways for themselves.  Participating in the creative arts is a great way to help kids unplug, while supporting their development socially, emotionally and intellectually.   The Girl Creatives Unleashed Summer Camp encourages parents to help their kids unplug from technology and explore all the camp has to offer.

Creative Exploration: Campers will participate in a wide range of creative activities designed to promote self-exploration and build self-confidence.  Activities include:

o   Bookmaking

o   Digital Art and Design

o   Collage

o   Photography

o   Jewelry Making

o   Sewing

Me-Time:  This camp is all about a wide variety of fun experiences designed to help girls learn the practice of quieting their minds, making time for self, pampering themselves, and feeling beautiful.

Mental Wellness: Girl Creatives Unleashed offers fun, stimulating activities that engage the body and mind, and also helps young girls to learn the importance of fun in art as they learn to manage stress through creative activities designed to build self-esteem. Activities include:

a     Yoga and Meditation

b     Developing Personal Affirmations in Personal Art

c      Expressive Writing and Journaling

Career Growth as Future Entrepreneurs: Youth will participate in BizWorld activities designed to help them identify a business need, define their niche, and market the products they create during the camp.  The camp will culminate with "My First Pop-Up."  Where campers sell the products they create during the camp using mock dollars to attendees.
