With The National Association of REALTORS® forecasting a decrease in year-over-year home sales, the "State of Real Estate Marketing" gives real estate professionals the insights and actionable best practices they need to stay agile, capitalize on opportunities, and continue to grow their businesses, despite market conditions.

Insights revealed in the report include:
  • Even with a cooling market, more than 75% of luxury agents expect their business income to increase by 10% or more in 2023, due to confidence in their prospects and buyer and seller pipelines.
  • 95% of luxury agents plan to spend money on marketing in 2023, up from 85% in 2022.
  • The more agents diversify their marketing, the more their median GCI increases. In 2022, luxury agents using 9 marketing methods earned more than $250k median gross commission income (GCI), compared to $200k for those using 6 marketing methods and $60k for those using just 2 marketing methods.
  • Luxury agents' top two marketing goals for 2023 are generating more online leads and building their personal brands online.
  • Professional websites surpassed Instagram as the most important marketing channel for 2023, according to the luxury agents surveyed. Instagram moved down one spot to take second place, followed by SEO.
