BEYA Stars and Stripes Hosts Metaverse Career Day Featuring Commander Desmond Walker

BALTIMORE - May 9, 2023 - PRLog -- Black Engineer of the Year (BEYA) Stars and Stripes is set to host its monthly Career Day on May 13, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. EST, featuring Commander Desmond Walker as the keynote speaker. This virtual event will take place on the STEM City Metaverse platform and is organized by a group of senior retired Black military and government officers and Middle and High School Students.

This Career Day is an exceptional opportunity for students, educators, and parents to connect with STEM professionals and business leaders who will share their secrets to success. The event provides an interactive and educational experience, offering students valuable skills that will help them succeed in their future careers. In addition, the event offers opportunities to win prizes, scholarships, and college prep tips.

This month's featured organization is the United States Navy, and Commander Desmond Walker, Nuclear Programs Manager and the Executive Officer of the USS BAINBRIDGE, will speak on his experience and share insights into his profession. General Bruce Crawford and spearheaded by Vice Admiral Walter Davis, has orchestrated an unrivaled opportunity for students to advance their careers through the BEYA Career Day.
