Follow on Google News | Local Author and Speaker Asked to Give Keynote Address at Australian Toastmasters EventBy: A&R Media Like any extracurricular activity, Toastmasters takes time and focus, and there are levels and milestones to be reached within the program. Local author and speaker, Rosalyn Kahn has been in Toastmasters for over 30 years! She joined shortly after she graduated college and attends weekly meetings to this day. Since joining the international organization many years ago, Rosalyn has earned her Distinguished Toastmaster credential, has been on the TEDx stage three times, and has written bestselling books about her experiences. She even coaches others to become world-class public speakers. Just a month ago, Kahn was asked to give a keynote speech at a club in Australia, the complete opposite side of the world! The theme of the keynote address will be self-care and taking care of oneself for the future. This is a subject near and dear to Kahn's heart, as she has written books about coping with anxiety and other issues. She is a firm believe in mental health and meditation. Her television show is even titled, "Living Your Best Life with Rosalyn Kahn" and is all about care of the self. Kahn will take the stage along with several other well-known speakers from all over the world. Each speaker will discuss aspects of self-care, an important component to success in life. Kahn will talk about some of her difficult experiences and how she has used meditation and the catharsis of writing to improve her self. "It is not everyday that I get to talk about a subject so personal and near and dear to my heart, so I am really excited," said Kahn. She is especially excited to be giving such a personal speech for an organization that has changed her life for the better. "I first joined Toastmasters as a 23 year old with little direction in life. Thanks to the organization, I am a confident speaker with many stories to tell." They keynote will be on Friday, May 19 via Zoom. For a guest link, please email kahn.rosalyn@ -30- End
