Bowling Emerges as Top Social Activity in Singapore

Singapore bowlers reported improved physical fitness, stress relief, and mental well-being as some of the positive outcomes of engaging in the sport. Bowling alleys across Singapore have witnessed a surge in bookings and memberships, with many Singapore bowlers actively seeking out bowling as a way to unwind and connect with others.

Singapore Ranked Highest in Bowling Aspect

Singapore ranked the highest for bowling among major Asian cities in a survey by comScore Asia released later this month. Singapore topped the list of cities surveyed in the comScore's Global Leader board, which measures social and digital media usage across more than 60 countries in Asia, Australia, Europe and Latin America.

Singapore ranked second in a new global ranking for social activities out of more than 200 countries by the Global Elite Sport. With six bowling centres across Singapore, the country enjoys the highest density of bowling alleys in the world.

According to Singapore Tourism Board, these activities generate significant economic impact to Singapore. In 2022 alone, estimated visitor spending generated from tourist participation in entertainment and recreation activities, Bowling Market size was valued at USD 863.69 Million and is projected to reach USD 1230.02 Million by 2028, growing at a CAGR of 4.52% billion. And with visitors now enjoying more leisure time in the city, it is expected that these figures will continue to grow going forward.
