MEDFIELD, Mass. - June 2, 2023 - PRLog -- MEDIA: Interviews are available in advance and at the event.

Life Goes On After TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) will host their inaugural fundraiser event, Life Goes On Foot & Paw Trail Run, on Sunday June 11, 2023 at Rocky Woods in Medfield MA.

Participants can join us to run or walk a 5k, run a 10K, or run or walk with your dog (attached by a harness) in a 2.5 miles canicross.

This event will be produced by Sun Multisport Events and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Life Goes On After TBI, a 501(c)3 charity that supports the survivors of traumatic brain injuries (TBI) by fundraising, educating and distributing grants to help offset the expense of treatments and therapies that support a TBI survivor's recovery journey. To register go to https://runsignup.com/Race/MA/Medfield/LifeGoesOnTrailRun. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are available.

A canicross is a combination of the words "canine" and "cross-country." Traditionally, a canicross is running with your dog on hiking trails where the dog wears a harness specifically made for canicross and the person is attached to the harness with an elastic line and a waist belt. The equipment makes the sport hands-free and the harness is constructed for the comfort and the safety of both the dog and the runner. Participants in the Life Goes On Foot & Paw Trail Run may choose to run with their dog competitively in the canicross with the proper equipment or enjoy participation in the event with a more casual walk with their dog on a leash.
