Riot Games, EA, and Supergiant, is launching their debut title Sparkball's first ever Early Accessweekend, "Ascension Weekend", on June 30th - July 2nd. Sparkball is a free-to-play 4v4 competitive PC game pioneering the "mobrawler" genre, combining high-action brawler style combat with the strategic depth of a MOBA. Sparkball swaps traditional MOBA minions and lane pushing objectives for goal-scoring cooperative team play. Sparkball will be available for additional limited time Early Access events via Steam in 2023, with plans to launch fully on the platform in 2024. Matches in Sparkball will see two teams of four players face off, with the primary objective to knock out the opposing team's goalie and score on their goal. Matches are best of 3, with each round ending when the final goal is scored. Players can earn additional power for their heroes via gold to use in the in-game item shop which they can earn by knocking out enemy players via combat, utilizing the ball to disable towers, or taking other map objectives. Collaborative team play and coordinated strategy are the key components to victory in Sparkball as teams must balance PVP combat with ball play to successfully overcome their opponents. There are eight unique playable heroes for Sparkball's "Ascension Weekend." While there are no set roles or positions in Sparkball, each hero features their own unique identity and abilities that can impact the match in different ways and creating a balanced composition is key to success.
