Carey Chen's objective was to depict The Lump and the multitude of species that Los Buzos anglers encounter daily at this extraordinary location. Having previously painted many of the iconic species found in Los Buzos during his visits since 2020, Carey Chen's artwork has become synonymous with individual rental homes and common areas. Moreover, the Black & Blue bar, adorned with Carey's pieces, has become a gathering place where patrons can enjoy a drink while immersing themselves in the vibrant artistry. However, the challenge for this particular project was to bring together all the diverse species that inhabit this magnificent fishing spot, accurately representing both its geographical features and marine biology—a specialty of Carey Chen.
