Dr. Matthew Mason Joins Dr. Sam Bakuri's Dental Implant and Periodontal Practice in Pittsburgh

Dr. Sam Bakuri announced that Dr. Matthew Mason has joined Greater Pittsburgh Dental Implants & Periodontics. Dr. Mason holds a D.D.S. and a Ph.D. from the Ohio State University. He completed his advanced specialty education program in periodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

ALLISON PARK, Pa. - June 13, 2023 - PRLog -- Dr. Matthew Mason has joined Dr. Sam Bakuri as an associate at Greater Pittsburgh Dental Implants & Periodontics.  Dr. Mason earned his D.D.S. from The Ohio State University. He then furthered his education by earning a Ph.D. in oral biology from Ohio State. Dr. Mason completed a three-year specialty education program in periodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Dr. Mason and Dr. Bakuri are both board-certified by the American Board of Periodontology, a distinction held by fewer than two percent of all dentists in the United States.

In addition to these accomplishments, Dr. Mason has won numerous awards, including:
  • Straumann New Periodontist Annual Meeting Scholarship, American Academy of Periodontology.
  • American Academy of Periodontology Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics, the Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
  • First Place—Clinical Science, American Academy of Periodontology Research Forum.
In commenting on Dr. Mason's addition to the practice, Dr. Bakuri said, "Dr. Mason is an excellent clinician with a very impressive background.  He shares my values.  We always want to be leaders in our profession.  That means we put the patient's interests first and utilize the latest science and technology to get the best possible results.  We also share a commitment to providing each patient with a first-class experience."
