AUSTIN, Texas - June 13, 2023 - PRLog -- With the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) well on its way to providing a wealth of jobs and investment throughout the USA, EcoCareers.org is calling attention to which states have the best job prospects for the green economy, and where jobseekers should look to find them.

EcoCareers.org is an online jobs board and resource website for all jobs in sustainability, whether traditional green jobs like solar panel technicians or environmental scientists to jobs in industries that are newer to sustainability, like fashion and manufacturing. EcoCareers.org seeks to connect employers, hiring managers and HR personnel in the green sector with jobseekers and the top talent in their respective industries.

"The best and easiest place to look for sustainable jobs is on EcoCareers.org," said Joseph Boll, the organization's CEO. "The entire reason we launched is to help fulfill this purpose, and we can connect you with employers all across the United States, Canada or the UK, so you can rely on our extensive database to find the opportunities you're looking for."

For jobseekers who want to narrow down their search even further, EcoCareers.org analyzed data from Climate Power and the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) to identify the top 5 US states with the most potential in the green economy as follows:
  1. Michigan
  2. Georgia
  3. South Carolina
  4. Arizona
  5. Nevada

These states, according to the data, boasted the most permanent jobs and investment figures in the green economy between 2002 and now. With the new legislation, their potential is expected to balloon even further, making them a great choice for jobseekers keen on entering the renewable energy sector or for seasoned sustainability professionals seeking to elevate their careers.

North Carolina and Oklahoma emerged as the runners-up to this list, both boasting noteworthy job figures over the past two decades. Oklahoma in particular was able to exceed North Carolina in terms of permanent job figures, while having just a fraction of the investments that North Carolina did. With a new project poised to inject billions of dollars into the sustainability field in that state, Oklahoma is likely to also emerge as a desirable state for green jobs and development in the near future.

"Jobseekers can keep their eyes on EcoCareers.org to become the first to know when new job opportunities become available in these states and others," said Boll.
