North Carolina and Oklahoma emerged as the runners-up to this list, both boasting noteworthy job figures over the past two decades. With a new project poised to inject billions of dollars into the sustainability field in that state, Oklahoma is likely to also emerge as a desirable state for green jobs and development in the near future.
