Safe Harbor Marinas Completes New Facility in Grand Haven, Michigan

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. - June 28, 2023 - PRLog -- Members and teammates recently celebrated the opening of the newly-constructed community building at Safe Harbor Grand Isle.  The $5,000,000 investment from Safe Harbor Marinas will provide new administrative offices and guest services, as well as a variety of clubhouse amenities including a fitness center, private washrooms, laundry facilities, heated pool and indoor/outdoor lounge areas for their 1,200 members and guests.

The 2022 community building project began with the demolition of a previous facility that was underutilized and in disrepair.  Following the acquisition of the marina in 2016, Safe Harbor began implementing plans to improve operations and enhance the marina experience for members and guests of Safe Harbor Grand Isle.

The 4,000 square foot facility has a bright exterior with large storefront windows, planter boxes with vibrant landscaping, and an open breezeway with indoor/outdoor fireplaces and seating.  The adjoining pool, spa and trellis area is perfect for lounging in the sun while watching boats cruise the channel leading to Lake Michigan.  Inside features a large member lounge area, laundry facilities, private bathrooms with showers and a fitness center.  Members also have access to private storage lockers, as well as additional storage and maintenance services through the service department.

Safe Harbor hired local firm and long-time partner, Platinum Contracting Group to construct the new facilities.

Safe Harbor will continue to add facilities at the marina by relocating and building a new service department, parts department, and ship store (retail).  The project is slated to begin later this summer and be complete by late fall 2023.
