NeighborWorks Housing Solutions' 24th Annual Mulligan Golf Tournament Raises Over $100,00

CANTON, Mass. - June 30, 2023 - PRLog -- More than $100,000 was raised on June 9^th when NeighborWorks^® Housing Solutions (NHS; www.nhsmass.org), the leading housing service provider in southern Massachusetts, hosted its 24^th annual Mulligan Golf Tournament.

Proceeds from the tournament will support the NHS Veteran's Fund that provides resources and assistance to veterans and their families being served by NHS. The event was held at Brookmeadow Country Club in Canton and attended by more than 150 golfers.

Following a performance of the National Anthem, golfers participated in a scramble-style tournament. In addition, golfers were invited to join several other activities, including cornhole, poker, and a dice game – all featured at select holes throughout the course.

Golfers and volunteers were treated to a catered lunch and program that detailed the work being done by NHS in support of veterans and their families.

The tournament originated in the year 2000 by a few key NHS board members who wanted to raise resources to help veterans and their families facing housing insecurity. Over the past 24 years, this event has grown to become one of NHS' signature events and continues to sell out year after year. As it did last year, this year's Mulligan Golf Tournament exceeded its fundraising goal by 25%.

Corley extended a special thank you "to our generous sponsors and supporters who made this event another record breaking tournament." During the post-golf program Corley reminded golfers and volunteers of their importance in helping to end veterans' homelessness as their support makes a difference in ensuring that flexible resources are available to veterans to meet their individual needs.

Preparations are underway for the 25^th anniversary Mulligan Golf Tournament, with details to follow in the near future.
