Due to its low cost and high volume of clients, MIA Aesthetics continues to grow. Minority women especially Hispanics are specifically targeted through social media marketing and affordable monthly payments allowing for the idea of obtaining the "perfect" body to be attainable. These women become victims of disaster by being unaware of the medical risks at stake, the post-recovery process, and not having thorough research of the surgeon that will perform on them. Oftentimes, these women have little to no information about the surgeon that will perform.

The medical negligence and malpractice of MIA Aesthetics plans to branch out by opening a clinic in New York with efforts of already hiring Dr. Mark Filstein. With over 30 years of experience, he has been under fire for botching a women's butt lift and leaving her with "perforations" on her backside, posting unconsented nude photos of a woman, and failing to perform a penis enlargement surgery that ended up shrinking it. It is alarming the efforts this practice will go to obtain high profits but not value the safety of its customers.

Spreading awareness about the risks associated with engaging in this practice is crucial for both young men and women. Before making any decisions, it's imperative to conduct extensive research, including evaluating the credentials and track record of the surgeon and facility. A high level of expertise and experience is required for any plastic surgery procedure, including BBLs.
