HBCUs have a graduation rate of 32% for Black students compared to 44% at other institutions. However, when compared to similar non-HBCUs, Black students at HBCUs are 33% more likely to graduate. Dr. Wayne Gersie, Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion at Michigan Technological University, will moderate the discussion. Dr. Gersie brings a wealth of experience in strategic change management and has a proven track record in driving diversity, equity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging (DEIS) initiatives.
