United Investment Limited - Li Auto's Milestone Quarter as Nio, Xpeng Deliveries Rise In June 2023

CENTRAL, Hong Kong - July 12, 2023 - PRLog -- After introducing its Tesla (TSLA) Model Y challenger on Thursday, XPeng's shares surged on Friday.

With Nio and XPeng deliveries increasing in the most recent month, Li Auto claimed roaring record sales for June and the second quarter.

This weekend also features the Chinese EV juggernaut BYD (BYDDF). Additionally, Tesla (TSLA) will publish its worldwide Q2 sales.

Here are the sales forecasts and June figures for Chinese EV manufacturers.

For the first time, Li Auto stated that June deliveries exceeded 30,000 with 32,575. That increased from 25,681 in April and 28,277 in May. Sales for the second quarter were up from 52,584 in the first quarter and much beyond the earlier projection of 76,000 to 11,000.

Nio shipped 10,707 automobiles in June, a significant increase from 6,155 in May and 6,658 in April. As deliveries for the ES6's next-generation model began to ramp up, the EV manufacturer's sales increased. Additionally, deliveries for its ET5 Touring and completely redesigned ES8 SUV started last month.

After delivering 7,506 EVs in May and 7,079 in April, Xpeng delivered 8,620 cars in June. It was the sixth consecutive month-to-month rise, despite the fact that June sales were down 44% from a year earlier. In comparison to a year ago, Q2 deliveries of 23,205 automobiles decreased by about one-third. However, they exceeded XPeng's recommendation of 21,000 to 22,000 automobiles.
