Plans for the 18,000 square foot lot include 39 residential units over 1500 square feet of retail on the first floor. Additional features will include an open-air courtyard in the middle of the building and amenities such as a BBQ, ping pong tables, and picnic tables for residents. "This lot has the potential to be so much more," said Kapital Partners Partner Anjuli Nanda Habbas. "We are excited to be part of a project that can change this blighted location into a new and dynamic space more reflective of the needs of the community. A graduate of Santa Clara University myself, for me, this project is personal." If the project receives approval from the city council, construction is expected to begin in 2024 with completion by the end of 2025.
