PRLog -- After 3 years, director Joseph Villapaz is finally in the pre-production phase of his follow up to "Perpetual Anamnesis", a short film which he created at the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Titled "IDDiosyncrasy"
, it is the first film that is a direct sequel to one of Villapaz's films. "Perpetual Anamnesis was inspired by and made at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown and all the crazy things that went on during that period", says Villapaz, "it was a reflection of the times." Villapaz continues, "the ending kind of left Doz's story unfinished, so "IDDiosyncrasy"
not only begins some time after the previous film ended, but adds a little edgy sci-fi twist to show how complicated Doz's situation is." Playing opposite Villapaz is Jacelyn Cullen who will play Eminee, another late wife from Doz's over 10,000 year lifetime. "Doz is several thousand years old and has been married to at least two human women in that time." says Villapaz, "Perhaps dealing with strong emotions in those relationships can be difficult and traumatic, a matrimonial bond between a member of The Magnate and a human is rare and far between." Villapaz points out that "Eminee's personality is completely different than Izmira from the previous film." This plus the title of the film suggests an interesting chemistry to look out for.
