Follow on Google News | Kids Eat Free at Jason's Deli Aug. 4-6By: Jason's Deli According to a recent survey conducted by the National Retail Federation, families with children in elementary through high school plan to spend an average of $890 on school items for the 2023-24 school year, approximately $25 more than last year. Back-to-school spending has increased dramatically with inflation, with total spending reaching an unparalleled $41.5 billion, up from $36.9 billion last year. Many parents already struggle to meet this demanding amount, and the Southwest Florida community will feel the impact more than ever this year. After many families lost everything during Hurricane Ian, they may not be able to afford their child's school supplies on top of other necessities. "With the challenges our local community has faced this year with Hurricane Ian, inflation and back-to-school costs rising, we are happy to provide a reprieve for families as they prepare for the school year ahead," said Diana Willis, owner-operator of Jason's Deli of Southwest Florida. "This is our fifteenth year providing free kids meals with an adult entrée and we are delighted to offer healthier meal options and savings on costs incurred at this time of year. As a bonus, our ice cream is free!" From Aug. 4-6, diners will receive up to two complimentary kid's meals with each adult entree and drink purchase. Children must be present, and the "Kids Eat Free" special may not be combined with other offers. The offer is valid for dine-in, to-go and curbside pickup, and not valid for deliveries. In Southwest Florida, participating Jason's Deli locations include Fort Myers: 13550 Reflections Parkway at Cypress Lake Drive and 16451 Corporate Commerce Way at Alico Road; Naples: 2700 Immokalee Road at Airport Pulling Road; and Cape Coral: 2311 Santa Barbara Blvd. near Veterans Parkway. Core values of Jason's Deli are to provide the highest quality food, outstanding hospitality, a great place to work and a healthy, growing company with the highest personal standards. The company has banned artificial trans fats from its food and eliminated high-fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and dyes from its menus. In 2011, Parents magazine recognized Jason's Deli as the No. 1 family restaurant chain in the nation, based on an analysis of food content, including calories, fat, saturated fat and sodium. Editors also compared the quality of ingredients (such as offering organic milk or antibiotic-free chicken), and conveniences include call-ahead seating, online ordering, crayons for children and the availability of highchairs and booster seats.
