GRAY, Tenn. - Aug. 1, 2023 - PRLog -- Homeschooled teens heading to college or university this fall are likely headed for success as well. According to the National Home Education Research Institute, "The research base on adults who were home educated is growing; thus far it indicates that they go to and succeed at college at an equal or higher rate than the general population" (NHERI.org). An excellent college prep opportunity is open exclusively for homeschoolers; it's called the National Academic Homeschool Competition (NAHC).

The NAHC is a friendly virtual competition, consisting of three rounds and culminating in awards and prizes. NAHC participation can significantly improve students' SAT and ACT scores. Homeschooled students ages 12–18 can participate in the NAHC. Competition will progress as follows:
  • Registration Opens: August 1, 2023
  • Practice Test Begins: October 1, 2023
  • LEVEL I: November 1–15, 2023
  • LEVEL II: February 1–15, 2024
  • CHAMPIONSHIP: April 17–20, 2024

The Old Schoolhouse® and College Options Foundation have teamed up to bring the NAHC back for a second year. "We appreciate our sponsors, CTCMath and Colorado Christian University, who have joined us to support the homeschool community," said Gena Suarez of The Old Schoolhouse®. "Each of our organizations is committed to promoting excellence in education. Working together, we're extending our commitment to homeschooling families with students pursuing higher ed."

Terry Wilfong of College Options Foundation added, "The NAHC is a valuable extracurricular endeavor with benefits for students and their parents. It's a fun format that students enjoy. There is nothing else like the NAHC for homeschool college prep."

FAQs and registration are accessible today at NAHCRegistration.com. The first 100 to register will each receive a NAHC T-shirt.
