Swingrz drops Pickleball Gigolo™ novelty pop song on music streaming platforms worldwide

Blending elements of 70s/80s pop with a bit of R&B flavor, Pickleball Gigolo is a yacht-rock inspired, irreverent, lyric-driven earworm designed to appeal to both passionate pickleballers as well as newbies and non-players amused by all the hoopla surrounding the fastest growing sport in America.

Peppered with meme-friendly and viral video worthy verses like: "Dancing at the kitchen line/Leaping through the air/Loves to flex his guns/Got that sexy stare," the song has potential to spark a lively debate as to which one of your friends, family members or fellow pickleball players most represents the harmless swagger and endearing vanity of the song's archetype.

Pickleball Gigolo is the brainchild of award-winning composer, arranger and music producer, Alan C. Zahn, and writer-director, Mark J. Gordon, both avid pickleball players, who met by chance at a USA Pickleball sanctioned tournament in early 2023. When Gordon, who was in the midst of writing lyrics for a Broadway musical, learned that Zahn was building a pickleball court in his backyard and looking to start a teaching academy, he knew he had found the perfect collaborator for the cheeky novelty song he had been kicking around in his head. The title was hatched by Gordon's brother, David, who coined the moniker as a jesting critique of his sibling's overzealous passion for the game, shameless court-hopping and willingness to play with just about anyone, anywhere, anytime.

And while Pickleball Gigolo pokes fun at the guys, Zahn insists: "We haven't forgotten about all the female pickleball players..."
