Chamber Project St. Louis Presents Season 16!

ST. LOUIS - Aug. 1, 2023 - PRLog -- Chamber Project St. Louis has curated a season of innovative and inclusive programming with something for everyone. Each theme and venue provides a unique community listening experience with its own vibe.

Season highlights include a rare performance of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's Nonet for winds and strings at the 560 Music Center, two world premieres by St. Louis composers David Werfelmann and Blake Hernton in the spring along with the return of the popular Very Open Rehearsal. The 16th season begins with free concerts in Schroeder Park and at the Saint Louis Art Fair. Using beloved St. Louis venues as the backdrop, the season embraces themes of mythology, home, legacy, and boldness.

In addition to concert programming, Chamber Project St. Louis is thrilled to be the Ensemble-in-Residence for three programs cultivating the next generation of composers. Partnering with the Clarion Brass, CPSTL will work with the composition students of Webster University in their WET INK program though the 23-24 academic year, culminating in a public performance on April 12. CPSTL will return for the fourth year to present the music of the Young Composer's Competition through the Community Music School of Webster University. For the first time CPSTL will travel to Kansas City to perform works by composers at the University of Missouri Kansas City on December 2.
