Mike Grindstaff is a pseudo-retired pharmacist from East Tennessee. He received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Mercer Southern School of Pharmacy in 1989. Grindstaff practiced independently as well as specialty pharmacy in Atlanta for almost thirty years before moving back to the hills of Tennessee.

He resides in Unicoi, Tennessee, with the love of his life, Dana. When not golfing, cooking, watching sports, or playing with the grandkids, he writes fiction. Second Chance to Die is the sequel to his previously published novel, Moon Over Knoxville.

In Second Chance to Die, readers rejoin Marwin Gelstone after a particularly rough year. His partner's wife committed suicide, and he was almost murdered by a local gynecologist as he uncovered the doctor's murderous intentions. The trauma of the assault derailed his life, and he spiraled down, almost losing everything important to him.
