Follow on Google News | League of Women Voters PBC to Host Hot Topic Lunch with School Superintendent Michael BurkeWednesday, September 20 / 11 am to 1 pm Hot Topic Discussion / In-Person Education in Palm Beach County Guest Speaker: Michael Burke, Superintendent of the A-rated School District of Palm Beach County, who is passionate about ensuring academic excellence and paving the way to post-graduate success by the 170,000+ students attending nearly 180 schools. He assumed this position in July 2021 after being unanimously selected by the School Board because of his extensive experience with all aspects of District operations and administration spanning more than 24 years. For most of his career, Mr. Burke served as the District's Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for both Financial Management and Information Technology. As Superintendent, Burke is deeply committed to the School Board's mission to educate, affirm, and inspire each student in an equity-embedded school system.
