A visit to the Long Beach Island Region can make summer last a little while longer

SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - Aug. 21, 2023 - PRLog -- Labor Day is a time to celebrate the hard work and achievements of workers across the country. In the Long Beach Island Region, the Southern Ocean Chamber has put together a fantastic lineup of events to help everyone enjoy their long weekend.

One of the highlights of the weekend is the Eat, Drink & Buy LBI Savings Pass. This pass gives you access to digital discounts in the palm of your hand. With easy-to-redeem coupons available anytime you need them, you can enjoy savings all year long.  Participating businesses include Beach House Retreats on LBI, Bruno's Barbershop, Bywatyr Shop, Causeway Home Watch, Country Kettle Chowda/Fudge, Delaware Ave Oyster House, Every Blooming Thing, Fantasy Island, Gemini Jewelry Design, Jetty, Joseph H Roberts, Kidzone, LBI Pancake House, Lucky's Bed & Biscuit, who is celebrating their 15th anniversary Sept 16 & 17, Luxury Looks, Progressive Dimensions, Russo Italian Restaurant, Reclam the bay, Song of the Sea, South End Surf & Paddle, St Francis  ,Stretch Zone, Surflight Theatre , Swell Colors Glass Studio , Terrace Tavern & Crab Shack , The Mainland Kitchen + Pub, The WooHoo , Thundering Surf Waterpark, Tuckerton Seaport & Baymen's Museum and Yuletide Christmas Shop.

On Thursday September 1st there are several events to choose from. The Viking Village Dock Tour takes place from 10am-noon in Barnegat Light. The Historic Walking Tour of Beach Haven starts at 10am and runs until 11:30am at Beach Haven Historical Museum. Grab your Land & Sea Guide and utilize the Passport to LBI over the 3 day weekend. Don't forget to grab Jersey Fresh produce and baked goods at the  The Lacey Township Farmers Market is open from 11am-5pm.

Disaster! The Musical is happening until September 2nd or Cinderella is playing at Surflight Children's Theater from August 30th-September 3rd.

On September 2nd Jimmy & the Parrots are performing a free concert at Ship Bottom Waterfront on 10th Street. This is the last concert of the year and starts at 6:30pm.
On Sunday September 3rd head to Viking Village Art & Craft Show from 10:00AM-4:30PM at 19th & Bayview where local artists will be showing and selling their work. The LBI Ferry is making its last run  September 2-4. Get tickets in advance at LBI Ferry website (https://lbiferry.com/), and look for Chowderfest Express Ferry Service for a special September 30 run.
