Maker Faire Coney Island Returns to Ignite Creativity and Innovation on the Iconic Boardwalk

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Aug. 24, 2023 - PRLog -- Coney Island, NY (August 23, 2023)  — Maker Faire is coming back to NYC - this time to Coney Island in Brooklyn, on Saturday, October 7th & Sunday, October 8th. It last took place in 2018.

"Maker Faire is a celebration of anybody and everybody who makes something - from robot builders and engineers to chefs and brewers, artists and musicians to Lego sculptors and candymakers." says CEO Scott Schubert. "Maker Faire provides a space where individuals can proudly share their amazing creations with our attendees, and everyone can learn from one another. And Coney Island is the perfect place for it - the birthplace of the rollercoaster and the hot dog, and a place of wonder, creativity, and fun."

Indoor and outdoor activities will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Coney Island. Sights and activities at Maker Faire Coney Island include:

• Keynote address by Brooklyn Maker Garrett Oliver, Brewmaster of Brooklyn Brewery
• Several members of the Mythbusters Jr. cast
• The Royal Trumpets - 15' high trumpets that shoot fire!
• Robot and drone demos and competitions
• Exciting talks about puppet building, sword-making, and more
• Workshops for learning to solder, and other fun projects
• Amazing Makers showing off their projects
• NYC Food Makers - Ample Hills, Fluffy NYC cotton candy, & more
