Songdoor International Songwriting Competition to offer enhanced free songwriting tools

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Aug. 24, 2023 - PRLog -- The SongDoor 2023 International Songwriting Competition, in partnership with SongU.com,  will be offering a complimentary upgrade to the free songwriting tools each entrant receives.

Since 2006, all songwriters who entered SongDoor have received a set of free songwriting tools to help them improve their skills, regardless of their placement in the competition. Among them was a free, full-access 45-day trial to SongU.com. Danny Arena, CEO and Co-Founder, and Sara Light, President and Co-Founder, have generously offered to upgrade their offer to  a 90-day trial membership, which now includes:

• Free unlimited DIY Songwriting Courses
• 1 free Live Song Feedback Class
• 1 free "Successful Lyric Writing" Podcast
• 1 free Pitch EACH month during trial to any of our listings.
• Access to song evaluations, private sessions, and more!
• 25 SU credits when upgrading to full membership

This is a significant expansion of the previous 45-day trial, and SongDoor entrants are excited about it.

"I'm a newbie, and it's hard to find good resources to learn about songwriting who aren't just out to rip you off," says Ben Marron, a singer/songwriter from Kansas. "SongDoor has delivered great free stuff every year I've entered, so I know they are on the level. This is going to be a big deal for other writers like me."

Says Sara Light, "We wanted to create a new and more valuable offering for SongDoor participants which, we feel, better aligns with what we do."

The other free tool all entrants receive is a different e-book each year about the songwriting business, from marketing to production, from Berklee College. To receive the e-book and free 90-day SongU trial, entrants need only enter an original song in the competition. Information about accessing the tools is sent to all entrants after the winner are announced in January.

Songs may be entered in six different categories: Christian, Country, Pop, Hard Rock/Alt-Rock, Soft Rock/Folk and Instrumental. Entries are accepted online through November 15, 2023.
