Follow on Google News | Bulinski Effect Pedals Offers Real Spring Reverb With Their New Analog Spring Driver Pedal SeriesBulinski Effect Pedals has recently added two reverb pedals to their existing line of guitar and bass effects with the recent release of the Analog Spring Driver pedal series.
The Analog Spring Driver series is not another clone of the old 1960's reverb units. The first major difference is that unlike most other reverb units, both the ASD-1 and ASD-2 feature true bypass. The other differences are in the types of controls available. The wet and dry signals each have their own volume control, so you aren't limited to the wet/dry ratios of a blend pot. The "Spring Drive" control on the pedals is essentially the same as a dwell control, but with a much larger range. Turned all the way up, it is possible to overdrive the springs for a unique sound that is not available with most other reverb effects. When dialed back, you will get a more traditional spring reverb sound. Another nice feature of both Analog Spring Driver pedals is that they can be powered by only 9 volts. Both accept a standard 2.1 mm 9V DC negative center power cord. "I'm a big fan surf music and other older instrumental rock n roll genres. Because reverb has played a big part in defining those genres' sound, I've wanted to do a spring reverb effect for a while" says company owner Steven Bulinski. He knows that some guitarists will always prefer vintage reverb units, but he believes the Analog Spring Driver series has something to offer to all guitarists. Bulinski says "When designing the Analog Spring Driver pedals, we wanted to create a product that can do classic reverb but can also do a little more. I think we achieved that."
