AUSTIN, Texas - Aug. 30, 2023 - PRLog -- United Heritage Credit Union and its Charity Foundation directly supported local teachers within Texas to ease the burden of costs teachers pay out of their own pockets. Focusing on education is critical, and that is why United Heritage hosted a Teacher Wishlist Giveaway. Through the giveaway, 80 Texas teachers received up to $250 in items from their wishlist. That is a total of $20,000 worth of free school supplies given to teachers in local school districts.

Texas-based teachers were invited to submit their Amazon wishlist for the school supplies they needed. "It isn't uncommon for teachers to spend hundreds of dollars to buy items for the classroom, and United Heritage Charity Foundation felt that it would best serve the community by assisting the people who help to mold children's minds through education. It's been a great experience to help these teachers in such a direct way and hear how excited they are to receive items from their wishlists. We look forward to finding more ways to support education initiatives in the future," says Chelsea Schrimpf, Chairman of the United Heritage Charity Foundation.

United Heritage opened participation to registered teachers in both public and private schools within the state of Texas and selected winners randomly.

The Credit Union is a strong supporter of education initiatives for young people and is proud to share that the winners were located at the Texas School for the Deaf, Catholic Diocese of Austin, and the following school districts: Trenton, Round Rock, Eanes, Pflugerville, Navarro, Hutto, Fort Worth, Northwest, Cy Fair, Austin, Alba-Golden, Manor, Llano, Frisco, Midway, Hays, Sherman, Dimmitt, La Porte, Arlington, Irving, La Grange, Dripping Springs, Leon, Leander, Pasadena, Keller, Wilson, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw, Buda, Del Valle, Cypress-Fairbanks, College Station, Tyler, Lorena, San Angelo, and Judson.
