SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Sept. 6, 2023 - PRLog -- The Fifth Annual Santa Barbara County Farm Day, Saturday, September 23, is seeking volunteers. Farm Day, organized by Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is a day when farms and farm-related organizations open their doors to the public for free tours and product samples. The 17 participating locations, each needing volunteers, are primarily in Santa Maria but also in Santa Ynez Valley, Orcutt and Los Alamos.

A volunteer meeting will be held Wednesday, September 13 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pioneer Valley High School (675 Panther Dr., Santa Maria), classroom 311. Enter through the administration office. Volunteers will be assigned their volunteer location and given a volunteer kit to bring with them on Farm Day. Volunteers must sign up in advance of the meeting by going to https://bit.ly/SEEAGVolunteer.

Volunteers 21 and older are particularly needed for Farm Day's new Viticulture Hub at Allan Hancock College Student Farm and Vineyard in Santa Maria.
