PRLog -- Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach involving Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists LLC ("Bienville")
. On or about March 5, 2023, Bienville detected unusual activity on its network, indicating a data breach. Based on a forensic investigation, Bienville confirmed that cybercriminals infiltrated its inadequately secured network and gained access to certain data stored on its systems between February 3, 2023, and March 5, 2023. Bienville further determined that through this infiltration, cybercriminals accessed or acquired the sensitive personal information of at least 242,986 individuals. The personal information acquired by cybercriminals, includes:
- Names
- Social Security numbers
- Protected health information
As a result of the data breach, these individuals' personal and highly sensitive information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity theft.
