Starting the New School Year Strong

WESTFIELD, N.J. - Sept. 11, 2023 - PRLog -- For families struggling to make ends meet, the cost of purchasing school supplies can be a significant burden. But thanks to support from local law firm Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper, P.C.  (Lindabury), 250 Union County youngsters are heading to school this fall with brand new backpacks stuffed with colorful notepads, markers, crayons and other essential learning tools.

The firm collected and donated new school supplies for United Way of Union County's annual "Stuff the Bus" initiative to ensure that local children in need have the necessary learning tools for a successful academic year.

United Way's new President and CEO Julienne Cherry said she is grateful for the donation from Lindabury, adding that the firm's "longstanding support is the reason why we can do what we do."

Since its founding in 1954, Lindabury has been a strong supporter of community-based organizations that aim to make "our communities stronger and better places to live, work and play," said Eric B. Levine, president of Lindabury.

"United Way's Stuff the Bus campaign is one more way that we can give back to our community and make a positive impact," Levine said.

United Way, which is dedicated to "improving lives and building strong communities," is distributing the new school supplies at their Family Success Centers.
