Fashion Showing & Sangria

Two local, small, black -owned, powerhouse business owners are coming together to celebrate NY Fashion Week on a grassroots level. Vintage fashions by TTH Vintage Boutique will partner with original vintage inspired fashions designed by Malik Turner of Just Make Sense Empire and be showcased during NYC Fashion Week. A meet and greet along with a fashion showing while serving sangria will take place throughout the day during regular store hours.

In its brand-new fashion forward, stylish space at 40 West 25th St, tth Vintage Boutique (https://www.tthvintageboutique.org/) is a unique retail establishment where proceeds benefit the homeless mothers and children supported by Hearts of Gold. The shop also provides job-training for these struggling women.

Malik Turner, a young fashion designer from Harlem, started his vintage throwback fashion clothing company in December of 2020. Inspired by his parents, Malik followed in their entrepreneurial mindset and founded his own unique company, Just Make Sense Empire (https://www.justmakesnse.com/).

Where streetwear meets high fashion, JMS is driven by their mission to do everything possible to inspire the empowerment of one's individuality whether in the local or global community. Encouraging entrepreneurship, Malik wants anyone he connects with to know they can visualize their own creative journey and learn to craft a business for themselves, doing what they love.

Deborah Koenigsberger, owner of tth Vintage is also the founder of Hearts of Gold (https://www.heartsofgold.org/), a non-profit that supports homeless mothers and their children in the shelters in NYC.  She cares deeply for the families of Hearts of Gold and works tirelessly to offer crucial support to thousands of moms and kids each year.

JMS is committed to addressing and resolving community violence, eradicating hunger and creating safe affordable housing for those who are in need. JMS Empire LLC is a growing company focused on perpetual outreach targeting youth between the ages of 14 to 21.

With a shared vision of assisting folks in their own communities, Deborah and Malik hope to continue to connect the lines between fashion,  entrepreneurship and community service. Lifting up members of their own community remains to be a focal point for both of these fashion forward New Yorkers. Deborah and Malik have a shared passion and purpose to break barriers and to build communities that empower and inspire the world because it  "Just Makes Sense"  to chase your dreams and to be legendary.
