SmartAVI Releases New USB CATx and Fiber Extenders

LAS VEGAS - Sept. 12, 2023 - PRLog -- SmartAVI is proud to introduce our new line of USB 2.0 peripheral extenders for security, digital signage, and recording environments. The USB2CX and USB2FX both incorporate a four-port USB hub at the receiver end that supports a wide variety of devices. The USB2CX has an extension range of up to 330ft (100m) using a single standard CAT5 cable. For greater extension range and flexibility, the USB2FX incorporates an SFP module port. This creates the potential for a single-mode extension range up to 6.2 miles (10km) or a multimode range up to 1,524ft (500m) with a single fiber cable.

Additionally, the USB2FX extender supports single or multimode operation with a hot-swappable SFP transceiver. This compact module allows you to reconfigure your network without taking anything offline.

These innovative options for USB signal extension offer you the flexibility to place your USB peripherals where you need them most while your computers and controls operate in a secure, out-of-sight location.
