CLEARWATER, Fla. - Sept. 21, 2023 - PRLog -- "In today's society, which is rife with pain and suffering, there are many good Samaritans who, in their own lives, traveled the same path as those they help. Their life mission now is to give back to those in dire need," said Elizabeth Hosken, Community Affairs Coordinator of the Church of Scientology. "The Clearwater Community Volunteer Center was established to support those nonprofits and assist them to accomplish their goals of helping society. This is a key reason we hold these Charity Teas."

The National Council of Nonprofits describes these Samaritans by stating: "Charitable nonprofits embody the best of America. They provide a way for people to work together for the common good, transforming shared beliefs and hopes into action. They give shape to our boldest dreams, highest ideals, and noblest causes. America's 1.3 million charitable nonprofits feed, heal, shelter, educate, inspire, enlighten, and nurture people of every age, gender, race, and socioeconomic status, from coast to coast, border to border, and beyond. They foster civic engagement and leadership, drive economic growth, and strengthen the fabric of our communities. Every single day."

For more information about the Clearwater Community Volunteers Center or to have your nonprofit highlighted, please call the center's manager, Tracy Hawkins, at (727) 316-5309.

The Clearwater Community Volunteers was established in 1994 by parishioners of the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization who wanted to become more involved in the local community by putting on events and raising funds to help children and families in need within our community. Sponsored by the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization, they stay true to their reputation of helping others with their center located on the corner of Fort Harrison Avenue and Drew Street in downtown Clearwater.
