"The Health Threatening, Lung Destroying, Life Shortening, Man-Made, Gross Pollution Blues"

SAN MATEO, Calif. - Oct. 4, 2023 - PRLog -- Walking is supposed to be very healthy for you, right? Yeah, except when you walk through an area filled with pollution.

Here is a poem/potential song lyrics I wrote after I took a nice long, very unhealthy walk to a local train station one day.

"I'VE GOT THOSE HEALTH THREATENING, LUNG DESTROYING, LIFE SHORTENING, MODERN DAY, MAN-MADE GROSS POLLUTION BLUES"

I thought I was going to be taking a nice healthy walk

to the train station today, but I

couldn't get out of the way

of all the car exhaust fumes,

Gasoline leaf blower fumes,

Construction dust,

Diesel exhaust,

and even asphalt paving fumes…

What a great way to go to take a nice walk to the train station…

I got those health threatening, life shortening,

lung destroying, modern day, man-made gross pollution blues…

How about you?

You smell anything nice today?

You smell anything good today?

You smell anything that's actually good for you today,

or just more of the same bad fumes?

And whether you live in a big city, where it's even worse,

or a small town where it's still a curse…

I've got those health threatening, lung destroying, life shortening,

modern day, man-made, gross pollution blues…

So, you gonna go out and take a nice walk ever again?

Was it healthy for you today?

Is there any way to get all those gross polluting

health threatening fumes out of your system?

Are you gonna have to take your N-95

Mask with you everywhere you go?

How many years do you think all those fumes are gonna take off our lives?

Was it this way hundreds of years ago when the overall

sanitary conditions were nowhere as good as they are today?

I've got those

health threatening, lung destroying, life shortening,

modern day, man-made gross pollution blues…

Next time I need some exercise I think I'll stay inside and watch TV!
