They provide vital input to the Court on a myriad of issues affecting the operations of the federal courts, including but not limited to rule changes; development of new programs; planning of conferences; As part of this new role, Kahn has been invited to join the District's Civil Rules Committee, which is responsible for reviewing and, potentially, revising the Court's local civil rules. Kahn is an associate in Snell & Wilmer's commercial-litigation and appellate-practice groups. Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, he was a Judicial Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada for The Honorable Jennifer A. Dorsey and The Honorable Larry R. Hicks. He also served as a Judicial Law Clerk in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit for The Honorable Jay S. Bybee. In his appellate practice, Kahn has represented clients in complex appeals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and multiple state appellate courts. In his litigation practice, Kahn assists clients in a variety of areas, ranging from business disputes, shareholder litigation, tribal law, constitutional claims, defamation/business disparagement, and debt collection including the recovery of collateral through repossession. Kahn also greatly values pro-bono work and is particularly passionate about representing asylum seekers.
